Did you sign up for our newsletter? Or did you sign up for an event, meeting or course? Then you have provided us with your personal data. You also do so when you send us an e-mail, for instance, or get in touch with us in any other way. Or if you post information on our website, Facebook page or Twitter. We require the data we record, to stay in touch with you.
- You attend an event or make use of any of the other services provided by Schoolinfo
Do you read our newsletter or visit our website? Do you attend events, meetings or courses provided by Schoolinfo? Or do you use one of our tools? In these cases, we can collect data about you. For example, for how long you visit our website and which pages you read.
- We use cookies on our websites
Do you visit one of Schoolinfo’s websites? In that case, cookies are stored on your computer, tablet or telephone. Cookies are tiny text files. We process your data for the following reasons:
- We make sure you can use Schoolinfo’s services properly and easily. This applies to services you have requested.
- We investigate how you use our services and we improve and personalize these services.
- We make sure that your personal data is always entered correctly into our administrative system. If your personal data changes, we update our administrative system.
- We perform market research and user analyses. We do this anonymously.
- We use the data to deal with questions, complaints and disagreements.

We never use your personal data for commercial purposes. We will never send you any advertisements or offers from other organisations, for example. We never let a system take a decision based on your personal data. This is always assessed by an employee.
We can share personal data with the following people or organisations:
- Schoolinfo’s Suppliers
We can share personal data with suppliers who deliver a service on our behalf. For example, external trainers and spokespersons, a company that processes event applications for us, a company that sends out mailings for us or an agency that conducts research for us.
What if we do provide suppliers with your personal data? In that case, we require suppliers to sign an agreement stating that the company will treat your data confidentially and that they will properly secure your data.
- Schoolinfo partners
Sometimes it’s desirable to share personal data with partners who collaborate on our projects. The VO-raad, for example. We only share your data if you give us your permission.
- The government
In some cases, we are obliged by law or summoned by a judge to provide personal data to the authorities. To the Tax Authorities, for example. We can also provide your data to the authorities if we think that this will help prevent damage or abuse. We only ever do this when we’re convinced that we have a very good reason.
We collect personal data for a project or another purpose. We never store your data for longer than a year after the project has ended or the purpose has been achieved. Data subject to the statutory retention obligation is stored for as long as is required by law. This applies to any financial data we are obliged to store for the Tax Authorities, for example.
